The personal ramblings of a struggling artist and accidental businessman. I am kind of clumsy and easily distracted so often get paint on myself. As I cuddle my kids at night I have often heard one of them exclaim, "You have paint!" Just before they start to try to pull or scratch it off. Usually they take some of my hair or skin off too.

Encroachment 18" x 24"
I am little embarrassed to even post on here again after so long. It has been a fairly normal summer for me; meaning, pretty much, total chaos. I finally finished another piece.
I really like the colors and the visual textures and the movement. I like this one alot. I think -even with my untrained eye- that you are getting better and better.
Welcome back, I REALLY missed not getting to see your new stuff, or hearing about your travels. Love this painting! One can just imagine all kinds of things because of it. There are details but not too many and your mind has to fill in the rest. LOve to see it in person! I know that pictures loose some details and depth. Good painting!
It is a very good painting. It looks like you are trying some different things with this one. And from what we can tell from the computer copy it looks successful and very interesting. We certainly enjoy reading about your wonderful family. Thanks for posting.

Love how these pieces are so "traditional" in their subject matter, but still very abstract in the execution.
